Become a temporary teacher

Whether you are a working professional, retired or a 3 rd cycle student, you can give occasional teaching assignments at Centrale Lille.

Temporary teaching assistants are recruited to provide occasional teaching hours as part of educational activities. As external lecturers, they complement the permanent teaching staff and contribute to the training of Centrale Lille’s student engineers.

Conditions for becoming a temporary employee

In order to be recruited as a part-time teacher, you must have a main paid professional activity at the time you join the School:

  • Company management
  • Salaried activity ≥ 900h/year
  • Self-employment, provided that you are liable for the Contribution Économique Territoriale (CET) or can prove that you have had a regular source of income from your professional activity for at least 3 years (e.g., self-employed, freelancer, independent contractor, gig worker)
  • Contract or permanent civil servant activity

If you would like to let us know about your interest in taking part in Centrale Lille training courses as a temporary employee, please send your application to .

Your CV will then be available for consultation by the training managers, who will contact you directly as and when required.

If you have already had contact and need to put together a dossier as a part-time teacher (compulsory in order to teach and be paid), please consult the recruitment procedure detailed in the “Becoming a part-time teacher” guide.

The Vacataires web portal (for teachers on temporary contracts)

If your application is accepted by the head of teaching, you will be able to compile your file directly on Centrale Lille’s Vacataires web portal. The Human Resources Department will email you the information you need to access the portal, together with your personal login details.
