Living in Lille
Lille is an integral part of what is known as the European Metropolis (MEL), at the crossroads of the United Kingdom, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. Lille is a key economic and cultural crossroads in Northern Europe.
The Hauts-de-France region is France’s third-largest industrial region in terms of the number of companies, employees, and investment. It ranks second for the number of its head offices. 50 companies are world leaders in their field.
The MEL is a young, dynamic metropolis with over 110,000 students. So it’s hardly surprising that half its population is under 30!
Welcoming and festive, Lille offers a rich cultural life to its inhabitants, and enables its students to find what they need for an unforgettable student experience.
