PhD

The Doctorate (or PhD in international terms) is the highest level qualification in the world’s education systems.

Indispensable for a career in research or higher education, it is also one of the keys to a successful career in major international groups.

Corresponding to a Bac+8 level, it follows three years’ research work in a laboratory, culminating in the writing and defending of a thesis. This work is also accompanied by additional professional training.

Centrale Lille awards doctorates in three doctoral schools:

ENGSYS 632: Engineering and Systems Sciences
MADIS 631: Mathematics, digital sciences and their interactions
SMRE 104: Matter, Radiation and Environmental Sciences
