Key action 1: Intra-European student and staff mobility (KA131)
Centrale Lille actively participates in this programme through bilateral agreements signed with European partner universities. Erasmus+ provide Centrale Lille students with the opportunity to study in one of Centrale Lille’s partner institutions, with a financial allowance for a period of 3 to 12 months as part of a double degree, a study year, an S8, an S9 or an internship in a laboratory or company.
Students from partner institutions can also study at Centrale Lille and take part in the Erasmus+ programme. To do this, contact the international department of the home university, which nominates the students to Centrale Lille.
Erasmus+ workshops for administrative, technical, and academic staff
The International and Academic Relations team regularly organises workshops and presentations on the Erasmus+ programme for the institution’s staff.
Key Action 1: Mobility with countries associated with the EU (KA171)
Centrale Lille participates in mobility projects for higher education students and staff supported by the external policy funds of the Erasmus programme. These projects have supported mobilities with partners in Ukraine and Morocco.
Erasmus+ mobility for training and teaching
Mobility projects with higher education institutions associated with the European Union provide support for student and staff mobility, with a training or teaching objective. These exchanges strengthen cooperation and initiate joint projects between partners. In this context, Centrale Lille has obtained funding in partnership with the following institutions:
- Ukraine : National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”, Lviv Polytechnic National University (2017-2019/2019-2022)
- Maroc : Centrale Casablanca, Hassania School of Public Works, Chouaib Doukkali University – ENSA El Jadida (2020-2023)
These projects funded by the Erasmus+ programme have so far enabled the mobility of around thirty students and fifteen staff members.
Key action 2: Cooperation for innovation and exchange of good practices
Geeks For Education
Centrale Lille coordinated the Geeks for Education (G4E) project – Inclusive teaching and learning of STEM and digital skills by leveraging tech hubs and non-formal education.
A cooperation partnership for innovation and the exchange of good practices
The Geeks for Education project is part of Key Action 2 of the Erasmus+ programme. It was created with the primary aim of encouraging collaboration between traditional educational institutions, economic actors, and non-formal learning structures. For 3 years, the 12 partners from 7 European countries focused on the teaching of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics).
Facilitating STEM teaching and learning
The objectives of the project were to help teachers, trainers, and educators improve their skills in transmitting their knowledge. G4E strived to equip them with the necessary “human and digital” technologies and STEM knowledge. Skills and methods that empower learners to be involved in a way that is creative, engaging, and effective, but above all-inclusive for learners with specific needs and diverse backgrounds.
More specifically, the project has enabled the institution to:
- Build on existing practices in non-formal and informal education for inclusive and more attractive STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education.
- Develop innovative, interdisciplinary, and inclusive teaching methodologies for teachers, trainers, and educators in the digital and STEM fields.
- Disseminate and promote G4E tools and methods by making them accessible through Open Educational Resources.
