Choosing my mobility

A host of opportunities during your studies

Centrale Lille strongly encourages its students to take part in one or more mobility projects during their studies.

These periods of mobility can take place during the academic year (September to June), during the summer holidays or as part of a gap year.

Each type of mobility has its own advantages and constraints. In all cases, each project must involve discussions and formal exchanges between the student and the directors and administrative offices of the internal school.

International mobility to GEC and FGL offshore campuses

In addition to the many opportunities offered by our partner universities, Centrale Lille student engineers can spend a study or research period at one of the schools of the Centrale Group of Schools abroad (Beijing, Casablanca, or Hyderabad in India) or the Fédération Gay Lussac (Beijing and Shanghai).

In addition to the semester-long international mobility programme, students have the opportunity to undertake

  • An exchange semester at Centrale Beijing (for ECL students)
  • An exchange semester at the École Centrale de Casablanca (for ECL students)
  • One or two exchange semesters at Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT — Chemicals Beijing) (for ENSCL students)
  • One or two exchange semesters at East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST – Chemicals Shanghai) (for ENSCL students)

In addition to the semester-long international mobility programme, students have the opportunity to undertake

  • In their third year, thanks to the coherence of courses among the Écoles Centrale, students can complete their final year (3rd year) at the École Centrale de Casablanca, with the year being recognised as equivalent to the third year of the student’s course at the École Centrale de Lille.

Students from the École Centrale de Lille have the opportunity to spend a research period in the Mahindra École Centrale laboratories in Hyderabad, India.

Students can also carry out their end-of-study work in the form of a laboratory internship in one of the international facilities of the GEC or the FGL.

Where to start ?

I ensure that it is compatible with school regulations (period, recognised types of mobility, etc.).

It’s important to start thinking about your project as early as possible. It’s not about ticking a box in your curriculum; it’s about giving meaning to your journey.

Centrale Lille has a number of resources and key contacts at your disposal:
